This is one of the most misused, misquoted, misund

This is one of the most misused, misquoted, misunderstood verses in the Bible. When someone wants to justify their life choices to you, they pull out their trump card, “Judge not, lest ye be judged!” Then they drop the mic…Expecting you to immediately embrace the fact that they want to get divorced, have an affair, be transgender, live in homosexuality, be a goat, marry a goat…whatever.
If you’ve spent any time studying that Bible verse, you know that when Jesus said, “Judge not that ye be not judged,” he wasn’t saying that we can’t evaluate whether someone’s choices are wrong. Jesus Himself did that.

What did Jesus mean in that particular Bible verse? We often forget about the REST of the verses that follow the command to judge not. While the verse itself may not be a ban on judgment, it is a warning to us not to judge by OUR standards but by God's standards. Many people point to Matthew 7:1 and say, “you see judging is a sin.” We must read it in context. It is talking about hypocritical judging.

Posts may be a little spaced out this month. I’m in Orlando with some of my fam enjoying a little freedom 😊 (also, $7 men’s tshirts from Walmart are the best!) #ootd

-God is the main character- So, I joined TikTok ab

-God is the main character-
So, I joined TikTok about a month ago. I keep seeing this one trend circling, and it’s about “being the main character” or having “main character energy”. It’s the concept taking charge of your story and living the life only a movie main character could have. As much as “being the main character” sounds like a great concept, to be honest, this way of living bothers me quite a lot. When you think about the root of this concept, it’s actually a pretty selfish way to live. It’s putting what we want above everything we are called to in order to live this life we’ve envisioned based on the worlds standards. It’s idolizing and worshiping ourselves and a lifestyle instead of giving all glory and praise to God. I believe this is not how we’re called to live as Christians. We are not to be searching and seeking after the riches and favor of this world, but are to focus on Him and the true riches of heaven. When we die everything will fade away, all of our memories, experiences, possessions, and wealth. But God will NEVER fade away, He is always there and always will be. Our awesome God is the main character, He is our creator and sustainer, without Him, we are nothing, and He is the ONLY one who should to be the main character in any and every story.

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

I have the best little brother in the world, there

I have the best little brother in the world, there’s no fighting me on it! (Plus he’s so stylish we match sometimes 😂). He is turning into such a great man and I am a very proud big sister. 10 days until we’re hanging out in Florida!
